Manisha Gandhi, a Texan for almost 50 years, embodies the essence of community leadership, fiscal acumen, and educational advocacy. A devoted mother of two successful professionals who flourished from public school education, Manisha went to Spring Branch ISD and holds degrees in Finance and Psychology from the University of Houston. Her children, both graduates of the University of Texas, stand as a testament to the value of public education in shaping accomplished individuals.
Her background as a small business owner, specializing in insurance and financial planning, budgeting, and team leadership can be an asset to FBISD Trustee position. Accountability and transparency will be her priority to ensure students, teachers and taxpayers of Fort Bend ISD receive the best. Her career spans across various sectors, from serving as Chief Development Officer for a non-profit, creating revenue streams for the organization, to her engagements with renowned media outlets like CNN and TV Asia.
A seasoned community volunteer for over three decades, Manisha has served on Houston Media Source, appointed by the Mayor of Houston. She serves on the University of Houston's Dean Advisory Board and is a Senior Fellow of a prominent leadership organization, the American Leadership Forum. She has served on various Indo-American boards spanning over 30 years.
